1950 Census Now Available

The 1950 Census became available to the public on April 1, 2022.  We have an opportunity to help index the records.  This time the computer will do most of the work, and we will just be comparing what the computer entered to what was written.  You can spend as much time as you want doing this.  They usually give you a small batch at a time so it won't take long to do one batch, just a couple of minutes.  You can get together as a family and work on it or work on it individually.  You will be able to choose which state you want to transcribe records from.  It would be fun to choose a transcription place where your ancestors lived at that time.  Here is the link to index the 1950 census:
