Jesus Christ taught “lay up for yourselves treasures in heaven, where neither moth nor rust doth corrupt, and where thieves do not break through nor steal: For where your treasure is, there will your heart be also.”(Matthew 6:20-21) What treasures did the Savior try to lay up for himself in heaven? Just prior to the restoration of the church, the Savior said this, in revelation to Joseph Smith: “Remember the worth of souls is great in the sight of God; For, behold, the Lord your Redeemer suffered death in the flesh; wherefore he suffered the pain of all men, that all men might repent and come unto him. And he hath risen again from the dead, that he might bring all men unto him, on conditions of repentance. And how great is his joy in the soul that repenteth!” (D&C 18:10–13.) We are his treasure! We are his glory! (Moses 1:39). His hand is out stretched still (Isaiah 9:12). Come unto come to him and receive his peace.
